20 year passports

I just happend to see the below information from the Indian Embassy website. Thought it might be useful for some of us

It has been brought to the notice of the Government of India that some Indian nationals holding Indian Passports valid for 20 years have faced problems while checking at Immigration Points/Visa Offices. In view of this and to reduce any inconvenience to them, the Embassy of India would like to advise such Indian nationals to surrender their passport and get a new passport in lieu thereof with the same validity. This service will be provided on a Gratis basis, free of charge.

The holders of the above Passports are requested to visit the Consular Section of the Embassy of India, Kuwait anytime between 1400 to 1600 hrs on working days (Sundays to Thursdays). They should submit their Passport along with duly filled Application Form No.1 and two (2) photographs at Counter No. 6 of the Consular Section.

In case of any difficulty or for any further clarifications they may contact Consular Officials at Extn. No. 283, 274, 275, 278, 292, 200.
